A Home Away From Home
Located across the street from Dayton Children’s Hospital and Shriners Children’s Ohio, and just minutes away from Miami Valley Hospital and Kettering Medical Center, our Ronald McDonald House provides families with many of the comforts of home, such as home-cooked meals, on site laundry facilities and 14 private guest rooms at no cost to them.
At our House, we provide many of the amenities of an all-inclusive hotel. We provide so much more than a hotel by meeting the unique needs of families working to care for their critically ill children. We surround our families with love and support from our giving volunteers, from our caring staff and from other guest families. We also provide holiday activities, indoor and outdoor play areas, computers and WiFi, and much more, so that families can concentrate on what is most important – their children.

Meet a Ronald McDonald House Family
Finlee was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome. The rare gene mutation means her facial bones didn’t properly form. The only specialist who would work to move Finlee’s jaw forward to ease her breathing and allow her to eat and talk was at Dayton Children’s Hospital. RMHC Dayton provided a place for Finlee’s family to stay before, during, and after her surgery. Her mom says if it weren’t for RMHC Dayton, they wouldn’t have been able to get this life-changing surgery for Finlee.
Adopt a Room
All of the amenities at the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are available to families in need at no cost to them. Supporting our Adopt a Room program helps us to ensure our doors are always open.
As a part of the Adopt a Room program, you will receive twice a year reports detailing the number of families served, the furthest distance traveled and top reasons for a family visit. You’ll also receive a story from a family who has been impacted by your generous donation.
