Meet Izzy’s Family
“We could hold Izzy sometimes 12 hours a day.” Thanks to Emmett’s Place, Sarah and Alex could stay close to their sweet baby every step of the way.

When Logan Sheehan faced a life-threatening medical battle, his family found more than just a place to rest at RMHC Dayton—they found a community of care and support. From a warm meal to a kind word, the Family Room became their refuge during an unimaginable time. Now, the Sheehans are giving back to help other families in need.
The Family Room at Dayton Children’s Hospital served as a place of support and comfort for the Moore family when their daughter Madeline was diagnosed with a serious medical condition and spent 24 days in the hospital over the course of 4 visits.
“Being at the House has been amazing. This is the highlight of caring.” For nearly five months, MJ and Debby called RMHC Dayton home.
“Staying at the House made a hard period not so hard. Thank you for showing my son so much love and giving him a home. You make such a difference in our lives.” For 103 days, Kiev and Reesa called RMHC Dayton home as the smiley boy received craniofacial care at Shriners Children’s Ohio.
For over two months, Maria and Alba called the Ronald McDonald House home as Maria received corrective surgery from a cleft lip and cleft pallet.
Last Summer, our Family Room at Dayton Children’s became a refuge for the Stewart Family as 18-month-old Ezali recovered from a potential drowning situation. We were excited to see the family back during the holidays as they delivered wish list items in support of our core programs.
